We are Team Velox, a STEM Racing Team based in Stuyvesant High School, founded in 2025. Our team is composed of six passionate high school students who are willing to learn. Our team’s mission is to gain real-life skills in problem-solving, teamwork, and leadership and proudly represent our school at the National Finals.

CREATE
PROCESS
Brainstorm
Our engineers come together to brainstorm ideas and concepts for the design of the car. During this stage, we focus on creativity, aerodynamics, and regulation.
Design
With the ideas, we build the 3D model of the car using CAD (Computer Aid Design) software. Our engineers ensure that every requirement of the Technical Regulations is met. Using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), we can analyze the airflow around our car to optimize the aerodynamic performance of the car.
Manufacture/Assembly
Using CNC machining and 3D printing, our team manufactures the body, wings, wheels, and all necessary components to bring the car to life. Our engineers sand each component diligently to ensure smooth assembly. Finally, we paint the car to reflect our team's unique identity.
Test
After the assembly of the car, we perform physical tests to evaluate the car’s performance. We observe the friction, wheel alignment, and overall speed and use this data to improve our car.

Junseo Lee
Team Manager
Junseo Lee is Team Velox's project manager with a strong passion for organization, collaboration, and precision. As the project manager of Team Velox, he oversees the team’s operations, ensuring that every member stays on track and that deadlines are met efficiently. Junseo develops detailed plans and Gantt charts that guide the team through each phase of the project. He works closely with all members, offering support and guidance to help them succeed.

EASON CHEN
Marketing Manager
Eason Chen is a strategic communicator and organizer with a strong interest in marketing, outreach, and team development. As the Business & Marketing Lead for Team Velox, he oversees sponsorship acquisition, budgeting, branding, and community partnerships to ensure the team has the resources needed to compete at a high level. Outside of Team Velox, Eason is interested in entrepreneurship, business strategy, and marketing analytics. He brings persistence, creativity, and a results-oriented mindset to everything he does.

ELLIOT WIDMANN
Graphic Designer
Elliot Widmann is a masterful and creative designer for Team Velox. As graphic designer, Elliot oversees all content creation and ensures that all media and resources are branded and presented with style and purpose. He uses tools such as Framer, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and more to build an identity meant to last. Outside of Team Velox, Elliot is interested in further developing his graphic design journey as well as photography and videography.

JIHO LEE
Lead Engineer
Jiho Lee is the Lead Engineer of Team Velox, overseeing the design and engineering of the team’s Formula-style race car. He leads the technical development process using advanced tools such as CAD, CFD, CAE, CAM, and CNC machining to ensure optimal aerodynamic performance and precision manufacturing.

Manufacturing Engineer
Tse Jing Lim is Team Velox’s Manufacturing Engineer, responsible for CNC machining, 3D printing, and final assembly of the competition car. He ensures each component is produced with precision and assembled to meet top performance standards.

Angus Leung
DESIGN AND TESTING ENGINEER
Angus Leung is Team Velox’s Design & Testing Engineer. He is responsible for refining the car’s design with CAD and conducting performance tests using CFD to ensure optimal speed, stability, and aerodynamics.
